Jennifer Gros, MS, MAC, LPC, Clinical Director

Jennifer was born and raised in Baton Rouge and received her Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in 2004. Three weeks into her Master’s Program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, hurricane Katrina hit. Jennifer relocated to Texas and transferred to the University of North Texas. She was accepted into the National Scholars Honor Society and graduated cum laude with a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2007. Jennifer is a Master Addiction Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana.

Jennifer began her career working with students in a community college setting. She provided services to veteran students, including creating workshops for students geared toward their individual needs. Jennifer has experience working with both mentally ill and clients with substance use disorders. She has served as the Clinical Director for a Residential Treatment Facility for women who have substance use disorders and more recently for an Intensive Outpatient Mental Health Program. Jennifer also has experience working in an inpatient mental health setting providing group therapy and psychosocial assessments to patients with chronic mental illnesses.

In 2012 Jennifer received an Excellence in Treatment Award given by the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse for Greater New Orleans.

Jennifer was hired in September of 2014 and provides clinical assistance and support in JLAP cases including confidential, bar admissions, and discipline matters. Her wide range of clinical experience is invaluable in processing formal referrals from Bar Admissions and Discipline. Jennifer facilitates JLAP-approved assessments and evaluations for JLAP referrals and participants, and coordinates educational programs with the four law schools in the state.
